The management of New Venture Safety Services Ltd. is committed to providing active leadership and support in maintaining our Health and Safety Program that strives to prevent personal injuries, economic losses from property and equipment damage and as well as the protection of the environment.
Everyone employed by New Venture Safety Services Ltd. is responsible for maintaining the safety program. Management has the responsibility and accountability to ensure the company's overall safety initiatives are obtained and will support and coordinate safety amongst all workers at the workplace in anticipation of a safe work environment.
Management is committed to and expects all employees to participate in the safety program while providing proper equipment, training, and procedures. Employees and sub-contractors are responsible for following all procedures and regulations, working safely and wherever possible, improving safety measures. Everyone is responsible for providing a safe work environment, upholding good work habits and leading by example.

All New Venture Safety Services Ltd. employees and sub-contractors working on company or prime contractor work sites are responsible for obeying all safety rules, following recommended safe work procedures, wearing and using required personal protective equipment, participating in safety training programs and informing supervisor/management of any unsafe practices or work conditions. An injury and accident-free workplace is the company’s objective. Through a continuous safety and lost control approach we can accomplish this goal.

DISPATCHER
Dispatch Job Description
New Venture Safety Services is looking for a dispatcher at their Whitecourt office. As dispatcher you will ensure the day to day commitments to our customers and employees are executed as promised. The ideal candidate is someone who is customer and personnel focused, detail orientated, obtains strong problem-solving skills and strives to ensure customer commitments are delivered.
General
-
10 days on/4 days off work schedule, starting at 8:00 am each morning
-
24-hr “on-call” position during shift requiring availability to take calls from customers and staff
-
Booking, organizing, and scheduling upcoming work and rental equipment
-
Generating call sheets and other general forms
-
Maintaining contact in the field with customers and staff
-
Daily Reports and Journey Management completed using Word/Excel and other work specific platforms
-
Complete inventory inspections and situational invoicing
-
Consistently working with office staff assisting in all duties
-
Concise reporting distributed throughout the work week
Requirements
-
Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position is a benefit
-
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office programs. Key applications include; Word, Excel, Outlook, Dropbox

Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

Active listener with sound judgement and critical thinking

High school diploma
