The management of New Venture Safety Services Ltd. is committed to providing active leadership and support in maintaining our Health and Safety Program that strives to prevent personal injuries, economic losses from property and equipment damage and as well as the protection of the environment.
Everyone employed by New Venture Safety Services Ltd. is responsible for maintaining the safety program. Management has the responsibility and accountability to ensure the company's overall safety initiatives are obtained and will support and coordinate safety amongst all workers at the workplace in anticipation of a safe work environment.
Management is committed to and expects all employees to participate in the safety program while providing proper equipment, training, and procedures. Employees and sub-contractors are responsible for following all procedures and regulations, working safely and wherever possible, improving safety measures. Everyone is responsible for providing a safe work environment, upholding good work habits and leading by example.

All New Venture Safety Services Ltd. employees and sub-contractors working on company or prime contractor work sites are responsible for obeying all safety rules, following recommended safe work procedures, wearing and using required personal protective equipment, participating in safety training programs and informing supervisor/management of any unsafe practices or work conditions. An injury and accident-free workplace is the company’s objective. Through a continuous safety and lost control approach we can accomplish this goal.

H2S SAFETY SUPERVISOR
DESCRIPTION
​
New Venture Safety Services is currently looking for qualified H2S Supervisors. Ideal candidates will have previous relevant experience within the oil and gas industry.
​
QUALIFICATIONS
-
Prior H2S Supervisory and Oil and Gas Experience would be an asset
-
Valid H2S Alive Certificate
-
Valid First Aid Ticket Level C
-
Valid Common Safety Orientation (Energy Safety Canada Certified)
-
Confined Space Entry/Monitor
-
Valid Class 5 Drivers license and current (within 30 days) drivers abstract
-
Operating company equipment in a safe manner and experience hauling a trailer
-
Physically capable of working in adverse environments and conditions
-
Experience in the use of breathing apparatus and gas detection equipment
-
Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision
-
Fall Protection and Detection and Control of Flammable Substances would be an asset
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide and support a safe work environment
-
Plan, coordinate and establish required duties with on-site client representative(s) for, but not limited to, drilling, well servicing, fracing, industrial, pipeline and plant turnarounds
-
Install and dismantle various safety equipment, including loading and transporting equipment to the jobsite
-
Planning and organizing rescue in the event of an H2S emergency
-
Engage in and conduct drills, rescues, inspections & tests, site hazard assessments and safety meetings on-site
-
Ensure all required safety paperwork is complete, organized, and submitted
-
Maintain equipment and ensure supplies are current and in working condition
-
Maintain vehicles in excellent working conditions and keep vehicles clean at all times
-
Inspection and operation of various equipment and testing systems to ensure response quality
-
You should enjoy physical work and be comfortable being away from home for long periods of time in a hotel or camp situation
-
You are diligent, attentive and can work as an effective team player. You must be able to communicate clearly and calmly when faced with adverse situations
MANDATORY PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG SCREENING

This is a safety sensitive position and the candidate must complete and clear a pre-employment drug test.

New Venture Safety Services is committed to the long-term growth and development of each and every employee. We provide in house comprehensive training to our staff on a regular basis. This helps to keep skills they have learned sharp and fresh along with updates and new protocols, procedures and practices. These sessions also help new staff to understand and familiarize themselves to the work environment they can expect to encounter in the field.
